London 2012: Weymouth Olympic viewing tower lifted into place

Crowds watched as the crown of Weymouth's £3.5m seafront viewing tower was put in place.

The 53m (173ft) tall structure in the Dorset resort will be open in time for the Olympic sailing events.

It will give visitors panoramic views of Weymouth harbour, the Jurassic Coast and east Dorset.

More than 200,000 people are expected to visit the tower in its first year.
