World sandcastle record attempt on Bournemouth beach

An attempt on Bournemouth beach to break the world record for the most sandcastles built in an hour has failed.

Organisers the Big Issue Foundation said it fell five castles short of the current record of 683 set at Scarborough beach in August.

About 250 people turned out for the event on Saturday, which marked the 21st anniversary of the of the Big Issue Magazine.
