Cancer woman 'unfairly denied treatment'

A Dorset woman says she is being unfairly denied cancer treatment which could prolong her life.

Kathy Craven, who is 43 and has three young sons, has breast cancer which has spread to her liver.

Her doctors believe she is the ideal candidate for a relatively new therapy called selective internal radiation (SIRT), which could reduce her tumours by 50%, but NHS England has refused funding.

It says it is reviewing the evidence for the therapy, which is not routinely funded.

Ms Craven fears that review could come too late for her.
