Dorset Farmers 'let down by badger cull', says NFU

The president of the National Farmers Union says his members feel let down and angry after plans to extend the cull of badgers to Dorset were stopped.

Last week an independent assessment of the two pilot culls found they had not killed the number of badgers they planned to.

Questions were also raised about how humane their methods were.

Opponents say other measures to combat TB (tuberculosis) in cattle, such as vaccinating badgers, need to be pursued instead.
