Woman challenges £695 clamping penalty

A woman who refused to pay a £35 parking ticket for pulling in at a bus stop says her fine rose to £695 after her car was clamped.

Susan Hatton, 61, says she was told to pay the parking fine for stopping for "eight seconds" in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, as she dropped off her father.

On Tuesday, she parked her car in Southend and returned to find it clamped by bailiffs.
