London Gateway 'an emblem of ambition' says Cameron
A new container port planned for Essex was described as "an emblem of ambition" by the prime minister during a visit to London Gateway near Thurrock.
When it opens it will employ 12,000 people and handle more than three million containers every year.
David Cameron said it was a pleasure to be at the site, which is bigger than the Olympic Park, and see the scale of investment by DP World.
