Pop star Tulisa Contostavlos denies assault charge

The pop star and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos denied a charge of assault when she appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.

The 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault by beating. She is accused of attacking a man at last year's V Festival.

She was released on unconditional bail and the case will go to trial in May.
