Crufts Friends for Life award for devoted pair

A 20-year-old woman and her one-year-old cocker spaniel are back home after winning the Friends for Life Award at the dogs' show Crufts.

Lucy Watts, from Essex, has a rare, life-limiting genetic condition and says Molly gives her a reason to go on.

Lucy, who is on the end of life register, says anyone with a dog knows how strong the bond can be, but theirs is "to the maximum".

"She's my best friend, she's my companion - she's the light of my life," Lucy said.
