Jail for Essex man who stabbed Facebook party teen

A teenager has been told he must serve a minimum of 17 years for the murder of a 17-year-old at a party advertised on Facebook.

Edward Redman of Stanway, who had denied murder, stabbed Jay Whiston outside the party in Colchester, Essex, in 2012.

The hunt for Mr Whiston's killer led to one of the biggest police investigations ever carried out in the county.
