Fire engulfs fuel tankers on Essex industrial estate

Five fuel tankers have been destroyed in a fire at an industrial estate in Purfleet, Essex.

Crews were called to Botany Way just before 22:00 BST on Wednesday where the vehicles, containing a combined load of 45,000 litres of diesel and kerosene, were "well alight".

Video filmed by Bryan Stracey, a tanker driver based in Purfleet, shows the extent of the blaze, which took several hours to extinguish.

An investigation is now being carried out into what caused the fire.
