Radioactive mum can now hug kids after cancer treatment

A young mother from Gloucestershire, who was left unable to hug her three children because of her treatment for thyroid cancer, is now in recovery.

Emma Day was in isolation at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and could not touch anyone because her medicine left her radioactive but is now back home.

She told BBC reporter Sarah-Jane Bungay that not being able to cuddle her children was "heartbreaking".
