Bus roof ripped off in Portchester rail bridge crash

A double-decker bus had its roof ripped off when it crashed into a Hampshire railway bridge.

The roof of the out-of-service bus was left on one side of the bridge while the bus ended up on the other, fire crews said.

The incident happened in Station Road in Portchester at about 09:40 GMT on Monday.

The bus driver, a 45-year-old man, was treated at the scene for shock.
