Ray Moxley in the Round the Island Race aged 90
Among the thousands of sailors taking part in Saturday's Round the Island Race is Ray Moxley, soon to turn 90.
He is racing alongside members of his family in the annual event which pits Olympic and professional sailors against keen amateurs.
A unique handicap system meaning even small boats can win the coveted Gold Roman Bowl.
Mr Moxley is older than the race itself - it was first run in 1931, over a 50 mile (80km) course, clockwise around the Isle of Wight.
