Zoo's wetsuit-wearing bald penguin Ralph dies

A bald penguin which became famous for wearing a wetsuit to protect it from sunburn has died aged 19.

Ralph, who suffered from over-moulting, spent most of its life at Marwell Zoo in Hampshire but was recently diagnosed with arthritis.

To prevent "unnecessary suffering" the zoo said it had the Humboldt penguin put to sleep.
