Ventnor road damaged by flood-water

A road has been closed after heavy rain caused flood-water to surge through cracks in the road surface.

Parts of the Isle of Wight received more than a month's rainfall in two hours earlier, the Environment Agency said.

Shore Hill in Ventnor, locally known as the Cascades, has been closed while experts inspect the flood damage.
