Isle of Wight: Man suffers burns after fire rips through home

A 60-year-old man has been taken to hospital after suffering burns in a house fire on the Isle of Wight.

Crews from across the island and mainland were sent to the fire on New Road in Brading at about 02:30 GMT.

The home has been destroyed and flames have spread to the roof of the neighbouring property.

The fire service described the man's condition as "stable" and added everyone else had been accounted for.
