Woman's social media search for sperm donor

A woman who is desperate to have a baby has described her search on social media for a sperm donor.

Faye, who is 30 and from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, said it was much cheaper than going to a sperm bank.

However, one fertility expert has warned against the practice and the lack of screening for health issues and hereditary diseases.

Dr Jackson Kirkman-Brown of Birmingham Women's Hospital said: "It's a very disturbing story to hear Faye talking about some of those things."

Faye said she was saving £1,000 to go to a sperm bank in the new year.
