Homes evacuated after Scunthorpe gas explosion

Homes and businesses have been evacuated in part of Scunthorpe after a gas explosion at the site of roadworks.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said a gas mains pipe had been fractured while work was being carried out on Ashby Road.

One person was rescued and taken to hospital by air ambulance.
