Rare lamb quintuplets born at East Yorkshire stately home

Staff at East Yorkshire stately home Sledmere House are celebrating the birth of five lambs to one mother.

The quintuplets have been named after the members of the Jackson Five.

Phil Richardson, assistant farm manager at nearby Bishop Burton College described the births as "an incredibly rare occurrence".

"About one in 5,000 ewes have the potential to carry quintuplets and even smaller odds for all five to be born fit and healthy," he said.
