Lorry drivers urge protection from migrants in Calais

New footage of attempts by migrants to break into moving vehicles approaching the Port of Calais has emerged as lorry drivers crossing the Channel to Kent launch a campaign demanding better protection for their vehicles.

The video, which was shot by a driver, shows people trying to board lorries heading to Dover.

BBC South East Today's Simon Jones spoke to lorry driver Ben Irwin, Donald Armour of the Freight Transport Association, Charlie Elphicke, Conservative MP for Dover and Deal, and Ben Bano, of the Seeking Sanctuary migrant support group.
