Kent primary school bans fruit juice

The head teacher of Wateringbury Primary School near Maidstone, in Kent, has banned pupils from drinking fruit juice while at school because of the high sugar content.

Chasey Crawford-Usher said children could only drink water or milk during the school day, sparking concern among parents that some pupils will go thirsty.

The school maintains the move is in order to improve the health of pupils.

BBC South East's Lucinda Adam spoke to Ms Crawford-Usher, as well as parents and pupils, and nutritionist Dr Marilyn Glenville.
