Search for missing bald eagle Helga

The owners of an American bald eagle are scouring the Kent countryside after she went missing at a public display at Groombridge Place, near Tunbridge Wells.

Helga - who has a brown body, a white head and tail and a seven foot wingspan - did not return from her regular flight from the Raptor Centre on Wednesday afternoon.

Her keepers, Eddie and Veronica Hare, have been following up reports of sightings in the hope that the 17-year-old bird will soon be back in her aviary.

BBC South East Today's Robin Gibson spoke to Mr Hare.
