Southern strike disruption 'could stop immediately'

As a two-day strike begins on the Southern rail network, the RMT union "could stop this disruption immediately", says Angie Doll, the passenger services director for the train company.

The latest action follows a series of one-day strikes since April and a five-day walkout last month that was called off after three days.

The RMT said the strike was "rock solid and determined".
