Lympne artists' depiction of Alzheimer's disease
Vanessa Jayne's painting of her father-in-law, Stan Fifield, months before his death as he struggled with the impact of Alzheimer's disease has won an award in a national competition.
She created the artwork to contrast detail and empty space, clarity and vagueness.
Stan died in September, but her work has won the National Open Art's World Art Vote 2016.
BBC South East's Ellie Crisell went to meet her at her studio in Lympne near Folkestone.
