Dementia patients' singing therapy in Kent

Dementia patients from three separate choirs have joined together for a public concert as part of pioneering research.

The Margate Seaside Singers, The Canterbury Song Birds and the Herne Bay Seaview singers are formed of dementia patients and their carers.

The Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health, which is part of Canterbury Christ Church University, has set up the groups as part of research into the benefits of singing in groups.

You can watch more on Inside Out South East, which will be aired on BBC One at 19:30 on Monday 19 September.
