Aerial footage shows St Michaels flooding 'devastation'

Aerial footage has been released of St Michaels-on-Wyre in Lancashire where rising river levels put pressure on temporary flood defences.

The video, taken by The National Police Air Service on 9 December, shows the level of devastation and the efforts to repair the damage to the river embankment.

Residents from about 20 homes in the village have been evacuated and moved to a YMCA centre following a severe flood warning.
