Ebola from the hospital frontline in Sierra Leone

A video diary has been kept for the BBC by a senior doctor who has volunteered to work in Sierra Leone.

Professor John Wright, a clinical epidemiologist from Bradford, West Yorkshire, is helping to build a 100-bed hospital in the town of Moyamba.

The virus, which is thought to have originated in fruit bats, was first detected in 1976 in an outbreak near the Ebola River in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo.
