Leonora Cohen: The story of the Leeds Suffragette

One hundred years ago women were given the right to vote in the UK.

Among the Suffragettes who fought for that right was Leeds' own Leonora Cohen.

She was arrested in 1913 for throwing an iron bar at a case containing the Crown Jewels.

But she went on to be appointed OBE and serve as a magistrate for 30 years, before her death in 1978.
