Work begins on new hospitals at Leeds General Infirmary

Work on a £600m scheme to build new hospitals in the centre of Leeds has begun.

The old nurse's home at Leeds General Infirmary is the first of the older buildings on the site to be cleared to make way for new facilities.

The five-year project will see the creation of a new dedicated children's hospital and a new adult hospital.
