New West Yorkshire project aims to keep peregrine falcons in county

A new project is being planned which it is hoped will encourage peregrine falcons to make Yorkshire their home.

The Bradford Peregrine Trail would involve a number of locations across the city being made safe and secure for the birds to nest in.

The initiative comes after one falcon moved from its previous home at the University of Leeds to Lister Mills in Bradford.

Paul Wheatley, who has been following the falcons for several years, said: "It's great they've formed a territory here and hopefully we can help them out."
