Melton Mowbray maternity unit's future 'unclear'

An NHS review of a birthing unit at St Mary's Hospital in Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire says the unit is "unsustainable".

Health managers say there are fewer than 300 births a year at the hospital.

But a final decision on whether the maternity unit will remain open has not yet been made.
