Leicestershire man backs prostate cancer campaign

With 800 men dying from prostate cancer in the East Midlands every year, doctors say men should not leave it too late to get to the doctor.

Barry Wilford, 71, from Oadby in Leicestershire, said when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he found it hard to take in.

Supporting the NHS's campaign to raise awareness about the disease, Mr Wilford added tests were nothing to be worried about.

About 3,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in the East Midlands every year, according to NHS figures.
