Baker makes life-sized tiger cake in support of endangered animals

A cake artist has created a life-sized edible sculpture of a tiger to make people more aware about the plight of endangered animals.

Zoe Fox, from Countesthorpe, Leicestershire, has spent 300 hours making the cake, which is made from icing and chocolate.

The cake artist is part of a group called Bakers Unite to Fight, external, who make cakes in a bid to raise awareness about the plight of endangered species.

Her tiger cake will be part of the Cake International, external show, taking place in Birmingham next month.

The World Wildlife Fund, external said the number of wild tigers is at an all-time low, with 97% lost in just over a century. As few as 3,200 exist in the wild today, it is believed.
