Taxi recall causes shortage worries for London cabbies

Hundreds of taxi drivers are concerned about their livelihoods this Christmas after a technical fault led to the recall of a fleet of Hackney carriages last month.

The drivers say they no longer have a cab at the busiest time of the year and are unable to rent replacements due to a chronic shortage of the historic black taxis.
