Donated paintings must remain free to public

A collection of 25 Italian masterpieces has been donated to London's National Gallery.

It belonged to art historian Sir Denis Mahon, who died two years ago.

The paintings can stay at the gallery permanently on one condition - they will be withdrawn if the gallery ever charges the public to see them.
