Family pride of woman who inspired Call the Midwife

Millions of families have been sitting down to watch the BBC One series Call the Midwife every Sunday evening but for the Worth family in Hemel Hempstead it has become an emotional ritual.

The stories are based on Jennifer Worth's experiences as a midwife in Poplar, east London, in the 1950s.

Jennifer sadly died before filming started, so for her husband, Philip, and daughter, Suzannah, it is a way of remembering her life.

Mr Worth said it could occasionally be an emotional experience watching the series.
