Anger over Southbank Centre's plans for Thames skateboard site

A concrete playground on the south side of the Thames has been hailed as the home of British skateboarding since the 1970s.

It now faces closure as part of the Southbank Centre's redevelopment plans with shops and cafes being built in its place.

An alternative site is being offered but skaters and BMX riders say the site is unique and must be saved.
