Surgeons use 'revolutionary' robot at London hospital
A £1m robot that could revolutionise paediatric surgery in London is to be used a Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
The Da Vinci robot is the first of its kind to treat children in London and will allow surgeons to carry out more intricate operations.
Munther Haddad, a consultant paediatric surgeon at the hospital, said the robot allowed them to carry out complex operations, while Frankie Barnett, whose son has had keyhole surgery on his stomach, says Kaylem would have benefitted from the robot.
