London court cases dropped by CPS

More than 180 court cases are being dropped or delayed in London's courts every week by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), according to a new report by the Conservatives on the London Assembly.

The CPS said the reasons that many cases were dropped were beyond their control.

BBC London's Home Affairs correspondent, Guy Smith, spoke to a victim who wished to remain anonymous, Conservative London Assembly member Roger Evans and Alison Saunders from CPS London.
