Infrared technology to mend London potholes
Councils in London are using a new technology which uses infrared technology to mend potholes ahead of the winter.
The machines - which can only be used in dry weather - can cover potholes in eight minutes.
David Taylor, from Ken's Autos, said he had seen an increase in the last five years of vehicles damaged by potholes, while Warren Whyatt, a highway engineer from Croydon Council, said the machines caused less pollution.
Martin Low, from Westminster Council, said the authority was investing £1.2m in preparing the roads for winter.
