Crystal Palace to be built to former glory

It once boasted the largest glass structure in the world but now, after years of decline, new plans have been unveiled to restore Crystal Palace to its former glory.

Chinese developers ZhongRong Group want to rebuild the Palace and regenerate the park around it as part of £500m development.

London Mayor Boris Johnson said the plans were "incredibly exciting", however, Crystal Palace campaigner Nick Goy said he was concerned about the impact on the park.
