Anger as ULU students' union bans Remembrance Day support

A university students' union has provoked anger by deciding its members will not attend a Remembrance Day service in any official capacity.

The University of London Union (ULU) said it had taken the decision because it had a proud tradition of opposing war.

However, opponents said the ban was disrespectful to those who fought in the war.

ULU president Michael Chessum, Louisa Townson, president of the Conservative Society at University College London and students have been speaking about the ban.
