Council to buy 500 homes to tackle housing shortage

About 500 homes will be purchased by a local authority in north London to tackle its housing shortage.

Enfield Council will buy the properties through a private company over the next five years.

The move means that the homes will be exempt from right to buy legislation.

BBC London's Nicola Ford spoke to Enfield resident Constantina Mouzouris; Labour party councillor Ahmet Oyener; Paul Mason, from Addison Townends Estate Agent and Conservative Party councillor Edward Smith.
