St George’s Hospital opens London’s second helipad

St George's Hospital has officially opened London's second hospital helipad.

Those running it say the new £5m base in Tooting could mean the difference between life and death for some patients.

Capt Dave Rolfe from London's Air Ambulance and Faye Hankin, the mother of a young boy who was airlifted to hospital by Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance after he hit his head, both say the service has a huge impact.
