Cycle superhighway scheme through London criticised
The cycling superhighway scheme has been criticised for not being "properly thought through".
The east-west route, external will run over 18 miles from Barking to Acton, and include a section on the Westway flyover where one lane will be removed to create a segregated cycle track.
The north-south route, external will run for more than three miles from King's Cross to Elephant and Castle.
Critics have raised concerns over the impact it will have on motorists and pedestrians.
In this report, cycling campaigner Danny Williams, Ben Page from Ipsos MORI, Steve McNamara of the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association, David Leam from London First and Howard Dawber from Canary Wharf PLC all give their views on the scheme.
And London Mayor Boris Johnson gives his views.
