Bus driver strikes affect London commuters

Thousands of commuters faced travel disruption as a bus drivers' strike affected more than 600 routes in London.

The 24-hour strike was part of a campaign by the union Unite for a single agreement covering pay and conditions by the union.

Transport for London said the action was "extremely disappointing" and pay and conditions were matters for the union and the bus companies to discuss.

BBC London's Katharine Carpenter spoke to John Murphy, from the Unite union, John Trayner, from Go Ahead London, and Mike Weston, director of buses at Transport for London.
