Streatham moped bag thieves drag woman along road

Footage of the moment a woman was dragged along a road by two people on a moped who were trying to steal her purse has been released by police.

She was walking along Hassocks Road in Streatham on 15 May when the moped riders went past her.

They then circled back and attempted to grab her bag, but the woman refused to let go and was dragged 30m (100ft) along the road.

The Met said the woman managed to keep hold of her purse but she suffered cuts and bruises as a result.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.
