Water pipe bursts outside London Bridge station

Commuters had a rather wet surprise at London Bridge station after a water pipe burst and sent water shooting up into the air.

Network Rail said the "geyser" was "quickly contained" and had not affected any train services running through the station.

Upgrade work as part of a £1bn redevelopment is currently taking place at the capital's oldest station, which opened in 1836.
