Greenwich: Closed pub reopens as community hub
The Star of Greenwich was about to join the list of closed pubs in London, until three friends stepped in to save it.
Kirsty Dunlop, Lisa Donohoe and James Gadsby Peet began a fundraising campaign to save the pub in Greenwich, south-east London and it has now become a pub run by the community for the community.
Alongside being somewhere to grab a drink, it is used by an English language school and a nursery to provide services to the community.
