Double amputee's charity walk for Macclesfield Town FC

A 14-year-old double amputee has completed an 11-mile walk to raise funds for his struggling football club.

George Blackshaw accompanied by his cousin Harry Irlam, also 14, walked from Mobberley to Macclesfield Town's FA Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday at the Moss Rose.

George, who lost an arm and a leg in a lawnmower accident aged 15 months, said it was the furthest he has ever walked.

The pair received £300 from the fans but in total raised £1,000 for the club.

Macclesfield Town drew 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday.
